Once upon a time, there was a little star who was afraid of the dark. When the sun went down and the moon came out, the little star would hide behind a big cloud. All the other stars twinkled brightly, but the little star stayed hidden. One night, a wise old moon saw the little star hiding. “Why are you hiding, little star?” the moon asked. The little star was too shy to answer. The moon smiled and said, “Remember, even the smallest star can shine brightly.” With the moon’s encouragement, the little star peeked out from behind the cloud. It was scared at first, but then it saw how beautiful the night sky was. It twinkled as brightly as all the other stars.
